the Indians. We will also cover Agra and its surrounding area, which contains
many superb monuments built by the Mughal emperors. Then move on to Jaipur,
built by the Rajput warriors after the decline of the Mughal Empire. It contains
many palaces and interesting structures.

Himalayan Jeep Safari
Duration: 09 Nights / 10 Days
DAY 01 DELHI / SHIMLA
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed to Shimla and check in at the
hotel on arrival. Afternoon time free to walk through the mall road and enjoy
this hill station.
DAY 02 At SHIMLA
Morning tour of Shimla. Afternoon free for independent activities.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY
03 SHIMLA TO MANALI by car
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed to Manali through the
beautiful hill roads. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Rest of
the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy walking through the Mall road and visit
Buddhist Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 04 AT MANALI
This full
day is left free to explore Manali on your own , the beautiful
hill station. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05 - MANALI TANDI - KEYLONG JISPA ( 3100 M)
After breakfast at the hotel in Manali proceed on a 6 hrs tdrive to
reach Tandi, a small village situated in the heart of Lahaul valley.
The drive takes us over the mighty Rohtang pass (3998m). Lahaul valley is
quite rocky & barren & totally opposite to the lush green Kullu valley.
The people of this valley are mainly Buddhists & the local society still
follows the ancient culture of polygamy!!!! Keylong the capital village of
this valley, is a bustling village & a very interesting market. On the
other side of the hill stands the most celebrated monastery of Lahaul called
Khardung. After visit of Keylong a short trek to the monastery (good for the
purpose of acclamatization) after visit return to Keylong & continue drive
to Jispa. Enroute visit yet another monastery called Gemur. Late afternoon
arrival at Jispa. Walk around the village & visit the Dalai Lamas
monastery. Meals & overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 - JISPA / SARCHU
After breakfast proceed to Sarchu around 5 hrs drive, en route see
the beautiful landscape and number of wild animals, overnight at the fixed
camp.
DAY 07 - SARCHU / LEH
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed to Leh in around 9 hrs over some
of the highest mountain passes on this road. Late evening arrival in Leh.
Check into hotel for dinner & overnight.
DAY
08 - LEH
Full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey, Shey was the old capital and the home
of the kings of Ladakh before the new capital became established in Leh. The
palace sits in a strategic position on a spur jutting out into the Indus valley.
The main temple contains a large buddha statue sculpted by nepalese craftmen.
Thiksey, this large gompa is an impressive sight, situated on top of a craggy
hill while the rest of the complex sprawls down beneath it. It was founded
in the 15
th century by gelukpa monks. O/n hotel
DAY 09 - LEH
Fullday sightseeing of spitok, shanti, sankar gompa, spituk was the first
gelukpa(yellow hat) monastry to be established in ladakh. Richen zangpo predicted
that a monastery would be founded here that would set and example to the other
monastries in the land. As it is situated on top of a small hill there are
good viesw over the indus valley.shanti stupa visible from most of the town
this new stupa was officially opened in 1985 the peace pagoda is part of the
legacy of the japanese fujii guruji. O/n hotel.
DAY 10 LEH TO DELHI BY FLIGHT
Morning transfer to the airport in time to board your Delhi bound flight.
